Auberge des Chevaliers is located in the quiet rural village of Canlers in the Pas-de-Calais region of northern France.
Originally a farm, the property's barns have been converted into three stylish gîtes:
In addition, Antoine de Brabant is wheelchair-friendly and ideal for anybody with reduced mobility.
The delightful property is set in an acre of mature gardens and grounds, with plenty of space for children to play safely, as well as a covered terrace providing lots of shade and an alfresco terrace equipped with garden furniture and two barbecues.
Please note that smoking is permitted in the outside areas, but not inside the gîtes.
Situated in the picturesque "Sept Valleés" and just 55 minutes away from Calais, the Channel Tunnel and the airport at Le Touquet, our property is ideally located for exploring the wonderful beaches of the Opal Coast, several First World War memorials, a range of historic sites which date as far back as the 13th century, the Dennlys amusement park and the area's lovely towns and villages.
The "Sept Valleés" is also perfect for walkers, cyclists, golfers and fishing enthusiasts, with a choice of local restaurants and bars once you've worked up an appetite!
We are Nicole and Joe Debono, your hosts, and we are the new owners of Auberge des Chevaliers.
We live in the property's renovated farmhouse all year round and are currently in the process of giving the farmhouse and the gîtes a well-deserved facelift, which we hope will enhance guests' holiday experience. It's not a short-term project, it's an ongoing labour of love!
Luckily, Joe is a qualified carpenter and joiner with over 30 years' of experience and he's thoroughly enjoying updating the gîtes to the highest standards, using much care and attention to detail.
I'm a qualified registered nurse (recently retired), so looking after people has always been my vocation. I hope to continue using these skills at Auberge des Chevaliers, guaranteeing wonderful, stress-free holidays for all our gîte guests!
We've been holidaying in the "Sept Valleés" for the last 30 years, having fallen in love with the area's natural beauty and diverse environment.
We're located just a short drive away from the forest at Hesdin and the stupendous beaches of the Opal Coast.
There are historic sites to visit close by, such as the Agincourt battlefield, and exciting annual events to participate in, such as the "International Kite Festival" at Berck-sur-Mer.
There are also several markets nearby where you can buy fresh produce direct from local farmers - perfect for cooking delicious seasonal dishes throughout your holiday at Auberge des Chevaliers...
We look forward to welcoming you to Auberge des Chevaliers for your next holiday!
