Notes on our prices:

  • Prices are as previously advised and agreed
  • Additional people joining your party will be charged at £50 per night
  • Bank holidays and school holidays are deemed to be High Season
  • Where additional charges arise, these should be paid directly to the owner before leaving the property
  • Heating is included in high season but there will be a surcharge in winter
  • Quilts and pillows are provided; bed linen and towels are NOT provided

Security deposit:

  • A security deposit of £100 is requested at the same time as paying your balance
  • We undertake to return the security deposit in good time, minus any charges for breakages, damage or necessary extra cleaning

How to Book

  1. Having checked the Availability chart above, please contact us either by e-mail using the Booking Request form below or by telephone: +33 (0)3 21 03 51 13 to make a provisional booking.
  2. To confirm your booking, we ask you to send us a non-refundable booking deposit of 25% of the total holiday cost and a signed Booking Form: click here to download a PDF version of the Booking Form.
  3. Once you have completed and signed the Booking Form, please send it back to us, along with your Booking Deposit. Your provisional booking will be held for 7 days.
  4. On receiving your signed Booking Form and 25% booking deposit, we will send you a confirmation e-mail and travel directions.
  5. Please note the balance, plus a £100 returnable Security Deposit, must be paid at least 6 weeks before the start of your holiday.
  6. If the start date of your holiday is less than 6 weeks away, please note that you must pay the full amount of the rental and the £100 returnable Security Deposit at the time of booking.
  7. Please make cheques payable to N. Debono. Should you prefer to pay by bank transfer, please ask us for our account details.

Booking Request

Terms & Conditions

  1. The property is offered for holiday rental subject to confirmation by the owner to the renter ("the client").
  2. To reserve the property, the client should complete and sign the booking form and return it together with payment of the initial non-refundable deposit (25% of the total rent due).
  3. The balance of the rent together with the security deposit (see clause 5) is payable not less than six weeks before the start of the rental period. If payment is not received by the due date, the owner reserves the right to give notice in writing that the reservation is cancelled. The client will remain liable to pay the balance of the rent unless the owner is able to relet the property. In this event, clause 6 of these booking conditions will apply. Reservations made within six weeks of the start of rental period require full payment at the time of booking.
  4. Any chargeable expenses arising during the rental period should be settled locally with the owner or their representative before departure.
  5. A security deposit of £100 for the rental period is required in case of, for example, damage to the property or its contents. However, the sum reserved by this clause shall not limit the client's liability to the owner. The owner will account to the client for the security deposit and refund the balance due within two weeks after the end of the rental period.
  6. Subject to clauses 2 and 3 above, in the event of a cancellation, refunds of amounts paid will be made if the owner is able to relet the property and any expenses or losses incurred in doing so will be deducted from the refundable amount. The client is strongly recommended to arrange a comprehensive travel insurance policy (including cancellation cover) and to have full cover for the party's personal belongings, public liability etc. since these are not covered by the owner's insurance. The client will indemnify the owner from any loss, damage or injury sustained by the client or member of party during the rental period, unless due to the wilful negligence of the owner.
  7. The rental period shall commence at 4.00pm on the first day and finish at 10.00am on the last day. The owner shall not be obliged to offer the accommodation before the time stated and the client shall not be entitled to remain in occupation after the time stated.
  8. The maximum number to reside in the property must not exceed the number advertised. Please note that we cannot accept any pets.
  9. The client agrees to be a considerate tenant and to take good care of the property and to leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period. Although a final clean is included in our prices, the owner reserves the right to make a retention from the security deposit to cover additional cleaning costs if the client leaves the property in an unacceptable condition. The client also agrees not to act in any way that would cause disturbance to those resident in the neighbouring properties.
  10. The client shall report to the owner or representative without delay any defects in the property or breakdown in the equipment, plant or machinery and appliances in the property or garden, and arrangements for the repair and/or replacement will be made as soon as possible.
  11. The owner shall not be liable to the client:for any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of public services to the property, nor in respect of any equipment, plant, machinery or appliance in the property, or garden;for any loss, damage or injury that is the result of adverse weather conditions, riot, war, strikes or other matters beyond the control of the owner;for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered by the client if the property should be destroyed or substantially damaged before the start of the rental period and in any such event, the owner shall, within seven days of notification to the client, refund to the client all sums previously paid in respect of the rental period.
  12. Under no circumstances shall the owner's liability to the client exceed the amount paid to the owner for the rental period.

This contract shall be governed by English law in every particular including formation and interpretation and will be deemed to have been made in England. Any proceedings arising out of or in connection with this contract may be brought in any court of competent jurisdiction in England.

How to Find Us

Auberge des Chevaliers is situated in the village of Canlers

Getting here from Calais (A26 Autoroute des Anglais)

  1. On leaving the ferry port or tunnel terminal, follow the signs towards the A26 motorway – direction Arras, Reims, Paris
  2. Follow A26 motorway and collect a péage ticket after about 25 miles and continue on and exit motorway at Junction 4 – Thérouanne
  3. You will need 2.90€ - or a Visa or Mastercard - to pay at the exit booths at Junction 4
  4. After the motorway exit booths, you will come to the first of 3 roundabouts:
  5. At first roundabout turn RIGHT (1st exit)
  6. At second roundabout turn RIGHT (1st exit)
  7. At third roundabout turn RIGHT (1st exit)
  8. Follow this road until the next roundabout and turn LEFT onto the D928 (3rd exit)
  9. You will pass through the village of Avroult and then Fauquembergues - stay on the D928
  10. A couple of miles after Fauquembergues, you will come to a roundabout by the wind turbines - go straight over following signs for FRUGES and HESDIN
  11. Follow this road for 3 miles to Fruges
  12. Go straight through Fruges on the D928 and on for about ¾ mile
  13. At the first roundabout after leaving Fruges you will see signs to St-Pol, Heuchin and CANLERS - follow the signs left onto the D343
  14. Take the second turning right into Canlers village (D154)
  15. Follow the road round past the École and the Mairie on your left; 150 metres later, turn left through a pair of black gates into the courtyard with the green and white cottages signed "Auberge des Chevaliers"
